Information and Comunication technologies 

Examples of ICTS in school

1. Digital board - They motivate students to participate in the lessons. To present movies, PowerPoint presentations, and graphics in addition to text-based lessons.

2. Tablets - Easy to use, more cost-effective than textbooks, paperless homework.

3. Digital books - No Wait Delivery, environmentally friendly, cost-effective, storage Space Reduced, Interactive, On-the-Go Learning

4. Audiobooks - Used to highlight the humor in books, introduce new genres that students might not consider, introduce new vocabulary.

5. Computers - They give familiarity with the devices and prepare the students for higher levels of education and jobs that require computer skills.

6. Educational softwares - Designed to help students and educators with organization, productivity, research, presentation and learning.

7. Video projector - More efficient note-taking, interactive presentations that keep students engaged, make better use of time in the classroom.

8. Videoconferences - Connect with experts, help students prepare for the world of work, share resources, create a flipped classroom.

Personal opinion:

This investigation made me realize how technology is improving and is making new devices to make study easier and more attractive to us. We use technology in our houses, in the tv, our cellphones, etc. And now books look boring to us, so they need to apply a new technique to make study interesting to us. Technology is all over the world and people is learning to use it really fast, either way everything is improving so if you don't understand it, you would not be able to use things outdoors.

Education:

Flashnotes - Allows students to upload their lecture notes and sell them to other students who need more help or resources.

Lore - Allows document uploads, calendar sharing, and a grade book.

Study blue - App that allows students to organize their coursework, store notes and flashcards, and share it with other students.

Medicine:

Body scanners - Allows doctors to find and treat conditions in their early stages when the chances of treating them successfully are much greater.

Monitoring of patients - Several outputs from the computer system let hospital staff know the patients condition.

Organ transplant - Computerized databases used to help match patients who are waiting for organ transplants with suitable organs from donors 

Commerce:

Village Pay Phone - Project that helps Bangladeshis without financial collateral to provide telecommunications services to their communities. They purchase mobile phones via lease, and pay for their investment by allowing villagers to make calls and send and receive messages. 

Adesemi Communications International -  Quality phone service in Tanzania. They have installed durable user-friendly units, capable of connecting local, long distance and international calls.

Red Cientifica Peruana - Located in Peru, completely self-sustaining, receiving no subsidies, governmental or otherwise.

 Agriculture:

iFormBuilder - An iOS mobile data collection platform that features an application that requires no paper or connection and is available worldwide. To register and distribute vouchers to beneficiaries during a seed fair, and able to save over a week of preliminary work and reduce staff by 50%.

Cropster:

Seeks to support sustainable agriculture by empowering farmers with access to key information and ensuring data transparency. 

Episurevyor - A mobile app that lets users create an account, design forms, download them to their mobile phones, collect data and send it to a server

What I think about the topic we investigate is that it's really interesting to know in what things we use technology and how, we basically used it and need it everywhere, its bad that we depend  on technology but it help us making things easier and maybe safier.

The internet is a globally connected network system of global exchanges to transmit various types of media. It includes private, public, business, academic and government networks connected by guided and wireless technologies.

A search engine is a software program through the Internet that searches documents and files for keywords and returns the results of any files containing those keywords. 
Examples: Google, AOL, Ask.com, Bing and Yahoo.

The cloud services is a broad category that encompasses the resources provided over the internet. It describes professional services that support the selection, deployment and ongoing management of various cloud-based resources.
Examples: Amazon web services, IBM, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS

A web browser is a software application that people use to view web pages on the internet. Used to upload or download files. It uses security methods to secure internet traffic, and cookies to store information.

Examples: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari and Opera browser.

My favorite TV show

My favorite TV show is A Typical



A Typical is about a kid with autism, and you can see all the problems that people like him has every day of their lives. He has a younger sister, Casey, and his mom and dad. He goes to a regular school, and he goes to a therapist too.
I like this serie because you can learn what people with authism has to deal, and how you can help them, i could see what things bothers them and what kind of things they do, beside from that is also really entertaining and has drama and romance at the same time.

Networks and WWW

A network is a group of computer systems and hardware devices linked through communication channels to facilitate communication.

The types of networks are:
- LAN (local area network)
- MAN (metropolitan area network)
- WAN (wide area network)

World Wide Web is a network of online content formatted in HTML to via HTTP. It was designed in 1991 by Tim Berners Lee. Refered as "The web".

Information and communication technologies

Information and communication technologies are technologies that provide access to information through telecommunications. It is similar to Information Technology (IT), but focuses primarily on communication technologies. People use information and communication technologies in Internet, wireless networks, cell phones, and other communication mediums. Some examples are in school with iPads, or in Work with computers or laptops, or devices that we use everyday at every moment like our phone. I use information and communication technologies, when I'm in school with my iPad, or in my house with my computer and my cell phone.

My name is Paulina Hdz, im 14 years old and i study at Secundaria Tec de Monterrey. What i expect of this class is to learn while having fun, do fun activities, work in teams, and not work that much.
